Indigo Dyeing & Japanese Shibori
Slow cloth. Natural indigo. A process of reveal.

Indigo is not rushed.
It is built slowly,  layer by layer,
through folding, binding, and immersion.
Each piece emerges in its own time,
patterns revealed only when the cloth is opened again.

This is a quiet, hands-on experience.
Working with natural plant dye,
you are guided through traditional Japanese Shibori techniques
stitching, wrapping, and resist.
No two pieces are the same.

Over the course of the day,
you create something entirely your own
a cloth or silk scarf, shaped by your hand and rhythm.

The Experience
Held at the croft, the day unfolds gently.
Morning begins slowly.
Time is given to work, to pause, to return.
Lunch and tea are shared.
The process continues without rush.

A Two-Day Option For those who wish to go deeper,
a two-day retreat is offered, including accommodation.
Time to settle into the process,
and allow something more to unfold.

From £120 per day
£400 including accommodation (2-day retreat)
