At Wester Auchraw Croft, mornings begin slowly.
Above Loch Earn in the Perthshire Highlands, where the day opens quietly and the land invites a softer pace, I now offer Morning Meridian Yoga as a private guest practice by request. This is a slow, breath-led one-hour practice designed to bring the body into a more awakened, spacious and peaceful state. It begins with box breathing, moves through a gentle sun salutation, and continues through a carefully held meridian sequence that opens the spine, hips, heart and breath like a flower unfolding into the morning. This is not yoga as performance. It is yoga as remembering. My work with meridian yoga is informed by my training in Body Electronics and point holding, which has deepened my understanding of how tension, emotion and memory may be held in the body. Through slow movement, stillness and breath, the body is invited to soften, energy can move more freely, and the nervous system can begin to settle. The practice is gentle enough for beginners, returners, tired bodies, and anyone longing for a softer start to the day. Nothing is forced. We listen, breathe and allow. Morning Meridian Yoga is held in the quiet rhythm of the croft and finishes in time for breakfast. Details
At the croft, wellbeing is simple: breath, body, land, stillness and peace. Bloom slowly. Rise softly. Come home to yourself.
