Welcome to Melanie
Welcome to Wester Auchraw Croft — a Sanctuary of Stillness and Soul
Held by the wild beauty of the Scottish Highlands, Wester Auchraw Croft is more than just a retreat space — it’s a living, breathing sanctuary, lovingly stewarded by Melanie, Clan of Lewis
With over 35 years of experience in the healing arts, Melanie weaves together the ancient path of Kriya Yoga, the teachings of the Essenes, and deep transpersonal healing. Her work is rooted in lived practice — breath by breath, iniitiation by initiation — and grounded in the body, in the land, and in the heart.
Melanie doesn’t promise quick fixes or spiritual fireworks. Instead, she offers something deeper: space. Space to feel. To remember. To return home to your own truth and essence.
Through yoga, body electronics, meditation, and shadow work, guests are invited into a journey of transformation that’s both powerful and profoundly gentle. Whether you're joining a weekend retreat, a longer immersion, or one-to-one support, each offering is held with compassion, humility, and a fierce love for the human spirit.
Wester Auchraw Croft isn’t just her home — it’s a co-creation with nature, a place where people gather to rest, release, and realign. You don’t need to be ‘spiritual’ to come. Just bring your breath, your body, and whatever is real for you right now.
This is healing rooted in the everyday. Sacred, yes — but never separate from life.
During the retreats I will be inviting other practitioner including breath workers, sound emersions, massage, nutritionists as retreats & participants require.

Welcome to Michael
Michael, Clan of Robinson
Michael Robinson’s journey has been a constant search for meaning and balance, moving away from the mechanical and materialistic influences of the modern world. His deep awareness of the destructive potential of contemporary warfare, having been trained as a navigator, led him to seek an alternative path, one that would contribute to the healing and elevation of the human spirit.
His desire to steer away from the forces that threaten global annihilation took shape early in life. He enrolled in a transformative course for teachers of agriculture, horticulture, and geomorphology, which also included the history of education and psychology. The course was held at a rural college in Buckinghamshire, where the principal, a distinguished educator who had qualified at Oxbridge, shaped the curriculum. Many of the lecturers were from the prestigious institutions of Oxbridge, and by what he would later call “chance,” Michael found himself under the tutelage of some of the wisest minds in the field of pedagogy—teachers who shaped his worldview and inspired him to delve deeper into the art of learning and self-transformation.
In the early years of his teaching career, Michael began to recognize a crucial element missing from his work: spiritual growth. He saw that true enrichment in life requires more than just intellectual knowledge—it requires an openness to the unseen forces of the universe, a deepening of the soul. After teaching for three years in Bristol, Michael moved to the Cotswolds, where he sought out spiritual teachings with renowned masters such as and Reshad-field a deciple of Pir-Vilyat Khan of the Sufi master. It was during this time that he immersed himself in the spiritual and architectural splendor of the Cotswolds, experiencing the profound peace that emanated from the magnificent houses like Daneway Manor and William Morris’ Brook House in Avening.
Yet, it was in the serene and mystical landscapes of the Trossachs Hills in Highland Perthshire where Michael felt the most transformative change. He recognized that nothing in his life had been by mere chance, but instead, everything had led him to this moment of profound awakening.
With a strong foundation in formal British education, based in Greco-Roman culture and educational theory, particularly the psychological practices of Piaget, Michael was well-equipped to weave together the intellectual and the spiritual. His academic background, while solid and classical, found its complement in the fluid, feminine wisdom of Melanie Lewis—an integration of divine masculine and divine feminine perspectives that brought him a fuller understanding of the human condition.
Today, Michael offers a retreat experience designed to help participants step away from the carnality of the modern world, a world dominated by materialism, and into a space of transcendent peace and connection. Drawing from his years of study and practice, his retreats are rooted in the practices of Vipassana (Teravada meditation) His philosophy is grounded in the belief that the integration of the divine masculine and divine feminine aspects within us forms the toolkit necessary for spiritual transcendence and the healing of humanity.
Michael’s work is an invitation to reconnect with a deeper, more harmonious way of being—one that bridges ancient wisdom with modern understanding, helping individuals find clarity, peace, and a renewed sense of purpose in the world.
