A Journey into Silence, Presence & Embodiment

Your retreat is based on ancient practices of meditation and yoga and includes a fresh and inclusive look at nature of the local natural enviroment. Including loch Earn as an essential resource. The local environment provides a chance to encounter life in a traditional community. In a non competitive setting. You will experience an escape from the pressures of modern life but in a supportive community while opening your being to new visions springing from the altered perspective made. available to you through these ancient practices. From day one you can expect a naturally altered consciousness which will enable you to look inside at the way you have been habitually conditioned into. Modern life can be thought of as further closing off of consciousness from a haermonious natural reality in favour of a mechanistic world. You will see how to reapraise your every day in a positive and human way.

Stepping Beyond the egoic self.
Nestled in the heart of Perthshire’s wild landscapes, where ancient forests meet the mirror-like waters of Loch Earn, this retreat is an invitation to step beyond the personal and into the vast expanse of pure awareness.

Shadow Work: Embracing the unseen true presence is not just about light but also about integrating the shadows that linger beneath awareness. Through guided self-inquiry, journaling, and conscious dialogue, we will invite the hidden aspects of our psyche into the light of awareness. Shadow work allows us to:
  • Recognize unconscious patterns and limiting beliefs
  • Embrace suppressed emotions with compassion
  • Release inner resistance and move toward wholeness

Vipassana meditation and Hatha Yoga are not just practices but portals to direct experience—to stillness, spaciousness, and the dissolving of habitual identity. Here, amidst the shifting light on the loch and the quiet breath of the trees, we will explore the body as a field of sensation, movement as an expression of presence, and silence as a gateway to the transpersonal.
This is not a retreat of seeking, but of encounter with who you have always been Of meeting what is—within and without—without resistance.

The Journey
Each day unfolds as a rhythm of deep meditation, embodied movement, and communion with nature. The structure supports a gradual unwinding of the mind, guiding us deeper into states of clarity, receptivity, and insight.

A balance of sitting, conscious movement, breathwork, and integration practices allows us to move beyond concepts into direct experience. The retreat will embrace the realities of now with space for individual inquiry and optional teacher guidance.

I did an 8 day yoga retreat with Melanie and it was the most life changing experience I have ever had. I started it stressed and lost and ended it with a renewed perspective on life and feeling as fit as a fiddle. The experience was all encompassing and offered experiences I had never had before.
